ECCENTRIC PRESS

Eccentric press converts rotational energy to the pushed energy. The external radius, speed, the moment of inertia, balance of a flywheel determine capacity.

ECCENTRIC PRESS | PROCESS

  • The flywheel rotates due to the rotational motion of the electric motor.
    The rotational motion obtained by the electric motor is transferred to the flywheel by means of the straps. The clutch and brake on the shaft connected to the volley work with a pneumatic or hydraulic control. The flywheel rotates with the rotation of the motor, but the flywheel shaft does not rotate.
  • When the track will be pressed, the flywheel begins to rotate.
    When the part will be pressed, the clutch control engages, and the flywheel shaft begins to rotate. The rotational motion of the flywheel shaft is transmitted to the crankshaft by reducing the number of revolutions through the gears.
  • The circular motion is translated into a linear motion, and the workpiece is shaped.
    The task of the crankshaft is to convert circular motion into linear motion. The motion head that connected the crankshaft with connection rod is moved as far as axis eccentricity. Moving head is moved up and down to give the desired shape to the material.

The eccentric press works with an invariable force. Even with a small engine, it can reach high speeds. Therefore it is very suitable for mass production. Especially preferred for punching. Thanks to speed operation, production volume increases. The disadvantage of eccentric presses is that not a change of force.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

It is flywheel energy that makes work in eccentric presses. As the rotation speed increases, the flywheel energy also increases. The flywheel energy transfers the rotational motion to the crankshaft. Circular motion is converted to linear motion by the crankshaft. This is called a stroke of the press.
